Dr. Wendy Kohler, Executive Director of Secondary "Loaded Gun" crafts a splendid intersection of
Emily Dickinson with pop culture. While respecting Dickinson the woman
and honoring her poetic genius, the film acknowledges the wit and whimsy
that so often emerges in the public obsession with her and her art. The
documentary is thus an excellent teaching tool, making Dickinson's word
and story accessible as well as provocative. Secondary school teachers
can surely engage students in Dickinson's poetic genius through watching
"Loaded Gun." © Copyright 2003, all rights reserved
